Prompt: You live in a world in which you can buy bottled emotions.
______________________________________________________________________________
Emotions are that basic instinct that makes us humans. Sometimes they are unwanted, and we want to get rid of them as soon as possible. Other times we go out there looking for those emotions we want desperately.
What if you could buy the emotions you want to feel? What if we could feel the thrill of parachuting without needing to do it? What if we could feel happy even if it was the worst day of your life?
Nowadays, you can buy any emotions you or others want to feel bottled up. You can even sell your own for a lot of money.
Once upon a time, emotions were what the humans considered the most important. Now, they are just something to spend your money with. Just a product to commerce with.
Avery and her company are worldwide known for their technological advances. They are number one in computers and phones, and they are working on expanding the company to produce prosthetics. What nobody knows is Avery's advancement on robotics. They are her kids, and she would kill every person who dared to touch them.
Her robots are not simple. They are not made to do a certain task. No. Her robots can learn, choose what they want to do, and even change their initial program so they can integrate what they have learned. However, the most important part is that they can feel. Those bottled emotions can easily be bought by anybody with enough money, and they don't only work on humans.
She has never been one to use fake emotions on herself, but she was curious if they would work on her children. If they could learn to understand emotions this way.
The results were better than she expected. When her robots felt emotions for the first time, they were lost about what it was, but after a few times, they started to understand the feeling, they learned to integrate it into their programs.
Emotions are no longers exclusive of humanity, and Avery cannot be more happy for her bots, her children. She doesn't need to buy happiness for herself. She just needs to be with her kids and see them grow.

Fuck
'Raven, come on, let me cook' I told to my baby dragon who kept clinging onto me. 'Wee can cuddle later, promise'
The dragon set me free with a displeased grumble and sat down on top of the freezer. I laughed a little and continued cooking. Suddenly, as I turned on the oven, the lights went off. I quickly turned off the oven and the stove, breath caught on my throat. Raven curled on my shoulders protectively, as I looked around for a way to turn on the lights again.
My roomate and I asked our neighbours if they knew how to turn them on. As my roomate and the neighbours looked for a way inside, I went downstairs to see if I could see anything. My heart beated loudly about the whole thing. I didn't want to think about what could happen if we didn't find a way to turn them back on. I knew it was an unfounded fear, but I couldn't avoid feeling it.
As I went upstairs again, I saw a light panel similar to the closed panel behind the door. I went to our floor, and saw that the neighbours had found the panel too. They opened it, but didn't know which switch would turn the lights on. They left as I looked at the panel.
Finally, I found the correct switch and turned on the lights. I let out a breathy laugh as relief flooded through me.
'I'm not going to turn on the oven ever again' I said with a laugh, only half joking.

It's getting real
The baby dragon chirped happyly as he munched on his breakfast. I smiled at him as I took a sip of my cofee. It was half past seven in the morning and I still had a bit more than an hour before I had to go to class. I was a nervous wreak as we had just started and I didn't know what to expect. I kept my eyes on the eating baby while I played with the mug on my hands. My mind free of any thought.
The sun was raising slowly, and warmth filled the balcony I was sitting on. I sighed, relaxing slightly as the heat of the sun warmed my body. My roomate came into the balcony, a whispered 'morning' as only greeting. She sat down on the chair next to me without a word and started drinking her juice while looking at the buildings nearby. When the dragon finished eating, he curled on my lap, resting his head on my hand and looking at me without blinking. I let a breathy laugh and started petting him.
After a few minutes, my roomate left to go to her classes. I still had a few minutes so I stayed on the balcony. After a bit, I stood and went to the kitchen to clean all the things I used to make my dragon's breakfast.
I left twenty minutes before the classes started. The nervousness was back full force and I had to force myself to take slow deep breaths, hopping to calm myself.
'Come on Raves, lets go!' I said to my baby as I practically ran down the stairs.
I met with the same group I met the day before. I played with my shirt as I waited for them. Yesterday, I waited for them with my roomate, so I didn't have much of a problem. I've known my roomate for a while so I am more or less comfortable with her. But this time I had to wait alone. Raves was flying around me, stopping just for a few seconds before starting to fly once again.
After a minute or two-that felt like hours- they started to arrive. I greeted them with a small smile and started talking to them. At first I didn't know what to say, I didn't know them at all, and I feared i would say something I shouldn't. Little by little, I started feeling more comfortable with them, and that fear disapeared. I couldn't help but smile to myself as a warm feeling spread through me, though that fear stayed at the back of my mind, where it always was.
