Emotions

Prompt: You live in a world in which you can buy bottled emotions.
______________________________________________________________________________
Emotions are that basic instinct that makes us humans. Sometimes they are unwanted, and we want to get rid of them as soon as possible. Other times we go out there looking for those emotions we want desperately.
What if you could buy the emotions you want to feel? What if we could feel the thrill of parachuting without needing to do it? What if we could feel happy even if it was the worst day of your life?
Nowadays, you can buy any emotions you or others want to feel bottled up. You can even sell your own for a lot of money.
Once upon a time, emotions were what the humans considered the most important. Now, they are just something to spend your money with. Just a product to commerce with.
Avery and her company are worldwide known for their technological advances. They are number one in computers and phones, and they are working on expanding the company to produce prosthetics. What nobody knows is Avery's advancement on robotics. They are her kids, and she would kill every person who dared to touch them.
Her robots are not simple. They are not made to do a certain task. No. Her robots can learn, choose what they want to do, and even change their initial program so they can integrate what they have learned. However, the most important part is that they can feel. Those bottled emotions can easily be bought by anybody with enough money, and they don't only work on humans.
She has never been one to use fake emotions on herself, but she was curious if they would work on her children. If they could learn to understand emotions this way.
The results were better than she expected. When her robots felt emotions for the first time, they were lost about what it was, but after a few times, they started to understand the feeling, they learned to integrate it into their programs.
Emotions are no longers exclusive of humanity, and Avery cannot be more happy for her bots, her children. She doesn't need to buy happiness for herself. She just needs to be with her kids and see them grow.
