Fear

This story was requested by my mom (just like "First day" even if I didn't say it before). I hope you like it, and I'm sorry I completely forgot to add the underground world.

Darkness. Cold. Silence. Where did the laughter go? What happened to all the people relaxing on the beach? It was so peaceful just a moment ago. Surrounded by Friends, playing games. The sun hot on our skin. The smell of salt on our noses. Noise surrounding us. Now? Now all that had disappeared.
A moment ago I was playing with my friends on the sand, and suddenly a hole opened and swallowed us. I remember falling. I remember feeling as if gravity didn’t exist. I remember pain.
I yelled calling for help. Calling my friends. Looking for something, anything. Just more than darkness. More than cold rocks. I started to panic as nobody answered. Heavy silence filled the air. Its pressure crushing. My breathing became frantic. Heart beating loudly. Images of my friends crushed under rocks flashed on my mind.
Finally, a voice echoed on the cave, bringing me back from those awful images. My name. I started walking toward the direction I believed the voice came from. Hands touching the walls to guide me. Steps slow and careful. I yelled again, calling that same voice. This time the answer came immediately. I walked faster. Hope blooming on my heart.
I kept calling for them, wanting to guide myself with their voice. Suddenly,  they stopped responding. I stood I the middle of the darkness, heart beating loud in my ears. My chest raised and fell quickly as I struggled to breathe. I started running, yelling, begging for them to answer me.
I ran and ran looking for a figure to be distinguishable on the thick darkness. I yelled until my voice turned hoarse. But nobody answered.
I paused just enough to even my breathing. My legs burned and trembled as I tried to keep going. I couldn’t give up just yet. There must be something I could do to find them. To get out. I kept going as my body screamed in exhaustion.
I started tripping on uneven ground as my body failed to respond me. I collapsed on the ground unable to move my body. My eyes started feeling heavy, but I fought to stay awake. As I finally closed my eyes, I saw the sunlight slipping on the cave through a hole just big enough to fit a human.
