Time

Writing propmt: As a prisoner I have a lot of time inmy hands
_________________________________________________________________________
I've never noticed how long can a day feel when you have absolutely nothing to do. As a prisoner, I have a lot of time on my hands. The only consuming my time were the three meals a day and the two hours they let me use the gym for. For the rest of the day, I had to find a way to entertain myself.
For almost all my life, I've been a busy woman. Days blurred together, and I found myself more often than not forgetting to sleep or eat. I have long forgotten the last time I took a day for myself, or when was the last time I didn't have to worry about something work-related. It was somewhat freeing.
As a prisoner, your movements are always monitored and restricted so anything you want to do has to be approved. Thankfully, you can get a pen and paper quite easily and without any questions so when I asked for a notebook and a pen, they fame it to me without asking. I don't remember the last time I worked on a project of my own and not work-related, but the change was appreciated.
Day after day, I filled the notebook with projects I've been dreaming of doing for years. With so many time on my hands, I found myself finishing projects in record time, and soon I had to ask for more notebooks and more pens.
By the time I got out of the prison, I had so many projects waiting for me to take them out of the paper that I was eager to go back to work so I could have the materials to work on them. And damn if I was busy, I would find time somewhere to work on them.
