Everyone is assigned a guardian angel who helps them out through life. However, due to a clerical error, a demon was assigned to her. She didn't really understand what was wrong with her guardian until it was far too late to ever dream to get another. Guardians are a very private part of one's life. You didn't talk about them to anybody, or let them see your guardian. Only under very special situations, one would be able to see another's guardian. That is why she never knew what happened with her guardian until she saw her mother's guardian by accident.
Guardians were supposed to be angels. Sweet and caring. Always by your side, and making sure you followed the right path-even when some humans ignored them and did whatever they wanted-. She knew that in theory, because her guardian let her do all the mischief she wanted, and let her play with dangerous things, only stopping her if her life was at risk. She also knew that guardians weren't allowed to interact with their humans unless it was to guide them. However, she and her guardian had always talked about whatever they wanted.
"Are you going to throw me away?" Her demon asked after she discovered that their meeting was because of an error.
"No way in hell" She answered making the demon laugh in relief.
