Writing prompt: Devils are not allowed to fall in love with humans
Devils don't have a lot of rules to go by, they're allowed to kill, to go to the human world and create chaos, or just lazying around without a care of the world. Whatever their heart desires, they can get it.
Even if there're few rules, devils know not to break them as the punishment would bring the highest paint one could imagine. One of the most important rule a demon has to follow is to never fall in love with a human. You can befriend them, have sex with them, but never fall in love. No one knows why this rule existed, but they never dared to ask. They just follow it.
And yet, here I am, breaking that rue over and over again. Devils are not allowed to fall in love with humans, but when you meet that perfect person, it doesn't matter anymore. Devils are not allowed to fall in love with humans, and yet I cannot go away from her. That beautiful woman I met at a coffee shop. That gorgeous lady that trusted me with her secrets, that made me laugh, that kept me company when I was lonely. That elegant flower that didn't mind that I was a devil, that smiled at me even when she knew how dangerous I am.
Devils are not allowed to fall in love with humans. However, I cannot find the courage to part ways with her.
Devils are not allowed to fall in love with humans, and yet I love her more than any women I've ever loved, and would face any punishment necessary if it meant that I would see her smile every morning, hear her laugh when someone told a joke, steal a kiss just to feel her lips.
Devils are not allowed to fall in love with humans, but I would quit being one if it meant I could stay by her side until death turns us apart.
